Descended to rain in the valley, made it to the jumping rock near the suspension bridge, and decided to swim for a little bit and make camp. The rain cleared most people out, which was nice. Loooing for a quiet evening. Hiked to the nice overlook where Indian Staircase is visible forget the name Saw some people on the trail between there and Glady Creek.

Took lunch at Glady Creek, had a nice, refreshing swim in the swim hole there. That is one of my favorite places in the Gorge.
Hiked to Corner Ridge road, and I was vor, but it was about 3pm, so I decided to push on. Made for a long day, because I pushed through the road section until the trail was off the road to make camp north of It would be nice to see this section off trail rerouted from the road.

Just before gravel pit, I lost the turtle, taking the Jeep path straight, missing my right hand turn. Ended up on a road, saying to myself, "this isn't right". Shed pack, looking at my maps, and walked down road a little ways.
This older gentleman was on porch swing smoking his pipe, and offered to help me. We looked at the topos and came to a consensus on my location, about where I thought I was.
I grabbed my pipe while he got a gallon of water for my dog, and we smoke tobacco on his porch for a little bit. It was sweet, partber of my best detours to tell the truth. He told me about his life: Korea, factory worker, his grandkids, and the like.
I lingered to wait for the rain to lighten w. Met his wife; shortly after pressed on. Wet afternoon; dinner in a rock shelter waiting for rain to lighten.
Pressed on to the Natural arch to camp for the night. Was hoping to make it to clear creek, but rain slowed me a little bit. Camped under arch due to rain not sure if that is kosher or notbut it was a nice place to camp all the same.
Had service got to make a couple phone calls catch sky escort with friends. Day 4: Early start, due to quick tear down. Refilled water at clear creek. In need due to ridge hiking.
Morning break a little north of clear creek. Long morning hike uphill after that. Slightly confusing intersection a little south of Sulfur partnfr where one trail goes to look out, another goes around front of hillbut I chose right. Lunch north of Sulfur springs horse camp. Felt like a long time to the dam, but made it through.

Feet hurting a little, and still wet from yesterday's rain. Dried them out during afternoon break at the dam. Met the guy that owns the bike shop on He was doing some clearing for the adventure race that happened there at the end of July.
Pleasant conversation. Dry feet and determination encouraged me to hike the section from the dam to Hwy 60, instead of walking along to meet my ride.
Outdoor safety & ethics
Power hiked that section averaging nearly 3 mph. My buddy picked me up where the trail comes out on My dog was beat by that time, and slept the whole way home He was draging lpoking little today due to the mileage.
About 15 miles Overall a great trip. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a scenic week long hike.
